It seems Redmi Note 7 new variant with 128GB of onboard storage is coming to China this week. The new variant will sit next to the 4GB RAM model of the Redmi Note 7 that was launched in the country a few days ago. Xiaomi’s Product Director Wang Teng Thomas posted in his Weibo account that there will be good news related to Redmi Note 7 this week. After the official launch of Redmi Note 7 in China, Xiaomi CEO Lin Bin had run a poll to find out which variant of the Redmi Note 7 could be more popular. In the poll, the unreleased variants including 4GB RAM+128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage were also included in the poll. The company is likely to announce either of the two models this week.

The poll had included different variants of the Redmi Note 7 with their price tags. The 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant is priced at RMB 999 (approximately Rs 10,500), 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant is priced at RMB 1,199 (approx. Rs 12,600), and the 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant is priced at RMB 1,399 (approx. Rs 14,750). Along with these, the poll had revealed that the unannounced 4GB RAM+128GB storage variant will be priced at RMB 1,499, while the 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant is priced at RMB 1,599 (approx. Rs 16,850).

Remarkably, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant had acquired the highest voting. The variants with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 128GB storage received second and third highest votes respectively. Recently, the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration of the Redmi Note 7 had been certified on China’s certification website TENAA hinting that it could be unveiled anytime soon.

Xiaomi also planning to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro and it will have a Sony’s IMX586 sensor powered 48-megapixel camera on the rear and a Snapdragon 675 SoC. Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain also hinted the arrival of the next smartphone from Xiaomi to be launched in India.
