Redmi Note 10T 5G India launch date confirmed (Redmi’s first 5G phone in India)

In a recent development, Xiaomi finally announced its upcoming launch of the Redmi Note 10T 5G handset. A launch date has been set for July 20th in India. In the country, Redmi Note 10T 5G will be the first 5G-enabled phone from the company. It’s already confirmed that the phone will be an Amazon.in exclusive, and will likely go on sale during Prime Day sales.

A teaser image shows how the Redmi Note series upcoming handsets will look. There will be a triple-camera setup on the back of the Note 10T 5G along with an LED flash. Like all the Redmi Note 10 series handsets, the camera module on the handset is located in the top left corner. A tiny punch-hole notch is also visible in the teaser image.

Earlier this month, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 10T in Russia. It is actually just a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G or POCO M3 Pro 5G. It will be the fifth Redmi Note 10 series device to be launched in the country. Moreover, it will be the first Redmi Note 10 series phone in India to launch with an LCD display. All other Redmi Note 10 series devices launched with an AMOLED display.

Redmi Note 10T Specifications, Features

With a 6.5-inch full-HD+ LCD display and 2400*1080 pixel resolution, the handset offers a 90Hz  refresh rate. This display is capable of switching between 30, 50, 60, and 90Hz refresh rates depending on the content displayed on the screen. Also, there is a notch on the screen for the front camera.

A MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor powered by 7nm fabrication powers the smartphone. The ARM Mali G57 chip handles all graphics-related tasks. The phone comes equipped with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Android 11 based MIUI 12 is preinstalled on the device.

Redmi Note 10T features a 48MP triple-camera setup at the back, as well as a flash. The device has a primary 48MP sensor as well as a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP camera on the front.

The handset is powered by a 5000mAh battery unit that supports 18W fast charging. In addition to the fingerprint sensor on the side of the smartphone, it also has an IR blaster, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 5G, 4G, Dual Sim, 2.4/5GHz WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, multifunctional NFC, and GPS, AGPS, Galileo, and GLONASS. The phone measures 161.81×75.34×8.92mm, and weighs 190grams.
