Redmi K30 series was launched in China last week and the company unveiled the Redmi K30 5G in four variants – 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB. Now, it seems like the company is prepping up to launch a new variant of the phone with 12GB RAM.
Redmi K30 5G new variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage has been spotted on the Chinese certification website, TENAA. The listing indicates that the new premium variant of Redmi K30 5G will be launched soon in China. Other than the RAM changes, there wouldn’t be any specifications changes.
Apart from this, the TENAA listing of the Redmi K30 Pro reveals new black and green color variants. To recall, this phone was announced in China in Blue, pink, red and white colors.
Xiaomi Redmi K30 Specifications
The Redmi K30 boasts a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a dual hole-punch design, curved edges. The full-HD+ 1080×2400 pixels resolution screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone also sports a frosted AG glass back. Both the front and back of the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It offers a 12-antenna design and includes dual-frequency GPS support.
The device gets juice from Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 765 SoC, which supports 5G. The company already confirmed the Redmi K30 4G variant. Talking about the configurations, it will be available in 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB, and 12GB RAM/256GB storage variants. On the software side, the handset runs Android 10-based MIUI 11 out-of-the-box. Powering the phone is a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging tech.
In the camera department, the quad-camera setup includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, a 2-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel sensor, and an 8-megapixel camera. The dual selfie cameras on the front comprised of a 20-megapixel and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as a USB Type-C port.
