Redmi K20 Teased Ahead of India Launch, will be Flipkart Exclusive

Xiaomi will be launching its new Redmi K20 smartphone in India on July 17. Now, ahead of the launch, the Flipkart has listed the smartphone in its site and the teaser on Flipkart hinting that the Redmi K20 might be sold exclusively on the e-commerce platform.

As per Flipkart’s teaser, the Redmi K20 will be launched on July 17 in India. However, there is no mention of the price or the sale date of the smartphone. Alongside the Redmi K20, the company could also unveil the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone. However, there is no confirmation from the company.

The Redmi K20 has already launched in China and we already know almost everything about the flagship device. However, the new webpage again highlights some key features of the smartphone like AI triple rear camera, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC, pop-up selfie camera and the in-display fingerprint sensor.

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro Price in India

Speaking about the price, the Redmi K20 is launched in China with a starting price of CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 19,900) for the base variant with 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the mid-variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and top-end variant that has 8GB RAM + 256GB storage are priced at CNY 2,099 (approx. Rs. 20,900) and CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs. 25,900), respectively.

Coming to the Redmi K20 Pro, its price in China is set at CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 24,900) for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Another variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage carries a price tag of CNY 2,599 (approx. Rs. 25,900), while the 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage model is priced at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs. 27,900). At last, the top-end model with the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at CNY 2,999 (approx. Rs. 29,900). The storage variants and prices of both Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are expected to be similar in India as well.

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro Specifications

Redmi K20 features a 6.39-inch display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor. The phone has a triple rear camera setup including the 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 lens, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with a wide-angle lens, and a third 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 lens. There is 20-megapixel pop-up selfie camera onboard as well. The battery on the K20 is 4000mAh capacity and offers 18W fast charging.

The Redmi K20 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a 6.39-inch AMOLED Full HD+ panel with a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and 91.9% screen to body ratio. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. It features a 20MP pop-up camera for selfies. On the rear, it sports a 48-megapixel primary camera, 13-megapixel secondary camera with a wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel camera. The device has up to 8GB of RAM with up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Redmi K20 Pro packs a 4,000mAh unit with support for 27W fast charging. The handset runs on custom MIUI 10, which is based on Android 9 Pie.
