In last of a couple of weeks, rumors start popping out about the Chinese brand Xiaomi is going to launch a new smartphone called Redmi K20. Today the device spotted on Geekbench (via SlashLeaks), which gives us the pretty good idea of what to expect from the handset 2 in terms of performance.
Spotted on Geekbench, the Redmi K20 with codename ‘Davinci’ is going to house an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor running at 1.80GHz. Single core performance showed a score of 2574, while the multi-core test yielded a respectable score of 7019. The chipset will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and the handset will run Android 9 Pie OS out of the box with MIUI 10 skin on the top.
Moving on to the other specs, the yet-to-be launched Redmi K20 is likely to feature a 6.39-inch full-screen display with FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels) resolution. Earlier leaks have also hinted at other features like a triple-camera setup at the back that will include a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle sensor. Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery.
Redmi K20 is expected to launch in two variants in an event in China tomorrow. The second variant is expected to be a ‘Pro’ variant, which will be fueled by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Some reports also claiming that the Redmi K20 will be launched as Poco F2 in India.
