Xiaomi has already confirmed the launch date of the most awaited Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro in India as July 17. The company also announced that the Redmi K20 series smartphones will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Mi.com.
For the first time, Xiaomi also announced “Alpha Sale” of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro in India. During the Alpha Sale, users will be able to pre-book the device by paying a certain amount and pay the remaining amount after the launch of smartphones.
The Alpha Sale of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 will go live from 12.00 PM today [July 12] and the early access sale will start from July 17 8.00 PM. So the people who pre-book the devices during this sale will receive the Redmi K20 or Redmi K20 Pro before anyone else after the launch.
How to participate in the Redmi K20, K20 Pro Alpha Sale?
The registration process for the Alpha Sale is not very complex. Interested buyers can visit Flipkart.com or Mi.com on July 12 at 12.00 PM. As soon as the sale starts, users are required to pay an amount of Rs 855 to buy an Electronic Gift Voucher (EGV) and to get themselves registered for the early access sale of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.
It is also mentioned that the sale will be on till the stocks last, which means only a limited number of buyers will be able to pre-book the device. The price of the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are not yet confirmed by the company and will be revealed on July 17. But many reports suggest that Redmi K20 may come with a price tag around Rs 18,000 and the flagship smartphone Redmi K20 Pro is expected to be priced between Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000.
Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro Specifications
Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro won’t differ much in terms of look and design. Both these smartphones are featured with a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a 91% screen-to-body ratio. They also sport a triple camera setup 48MP + 13MP + 8MP on the back and a 20MP pop-up selfie camera on the front.

The main difference comes here, Redmi K20 is powered by Snapdragon 730 processor while the Redmi K20 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor. Redmi K20 houses a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and the Redmi K20 Pro is also backed by a 4000mAh battery but with 27W fast charging support.
