Redmi 9A, Redmi 9A Sport price hiked in India

In India, the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9A Sport prices have been raised by Rs. 300. This price hike has bumped up the price of these phones base variant to Rs. 7,299 from Rs. 6,999. Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi 9A last year whereas the Redmi 9A Sport was launched in India in September. The key highlights of these two phones are a 5,000mAh battery, an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, and a single rear camera.

The 2GB RAM + 32GB variant of Redmi 9A and Redmi 9A Sport cost Rs. 7,299. The 3GB + 32GB variant of the Redmi 9A is priced at Rs. 8,299 while the Redmi 9A Sport costs Rs. 8,299. The revised price is applicable across all retail channels and has been reflected on Mi.com, Amazon, and other online retailers.

Redmi 9A Specifications

Xiaomi Redmi 9A comes with a 6.53-inch IPS HD+ display with 1600x 720 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. With this device, you get a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor coupled with a PowerVR GE8320. The phone has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.

The device has a single 13-megapixel camera on the back, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. A fingerprint scanner is not present on this device.

Powering the phone is a 5000mAh battery and it supports 10W fast charging. Android 10-based MIUI 11 is pre-installed on the handset and will be upgradable to MIUI 12. In terms of connectivity, the handset supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS and GLONASS, as well as USB Type-C.

Redmi 9A Sport Specifications

There is a 6.53-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a water-drop notch. It has a 5MP front camera sensor.

It is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 processors. The 9A Sport comes with up to 4GB of RAM. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

There is a single 13MP camera sensor on the back with an LED flash. This device lacks a fingerprint scanner, instead featuring AI Face Unlock. It has a P2i coating for splash resistance, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual 4G VoLTE.
