Xiaomi seems to be gearing up to get a new variant of Redmi 9 Power in India. The phone was announced with 4GB RAM and two storage options – 64GB and 128GB storage configurations. 

Now, a tipster has revealed that the Chinese brand may soon launch a new storage variant of the Redmi 9 Power with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. However, it is worth noting that there hasn’t been any official confirmation from Xiaomi regarding the arrival of the new 6GB/128GB model. 

Talking about the pricing, the tipster said that the new variant could be priced at Rs 12,999 in India. The 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB variants of the Redmi 9 Power are currently selling in India at Rs 10,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively. It is available in Mighty Black, Fiery Red, Electric Green, Blazing Blue color options.

On the front, the smartphone sports a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. Performance is handled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset that will soon be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Gorilla Glass 3 protection for the display. 

As far as the camera is concerned, Redmi 9 Power comes with a triple rear camera module that comprises a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is an 8MP camera. There is a 6,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging (22.5W charger in the box). Connectivity options include a 2+1 SIM slot, 5G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, IR Blaster, Hi-Res Audio, and a headphone jack.
