Xioami is expected to launch the Redmi 8A smartphone soon. The phone will be an update to the Redmi 7A launched by Xiaomi earlier this year. Design-wise, this will be a major upgrade. Recently, a new Redmi smartphone with model number M1908C3IC had been certified by TENAA with few images revealing its highlighting specifications which might be a Redmi 8A. Taking it further, the smartphone gets yet another exposure in the form of real-life images.
Suspected real-life images of the Xiaomi Redmi 8A in red colour have leaked online, showing the beauty of the device. However, we can’t confirm whether this phone is actually Redmi 8A or not as the physical appearance of this smartphone doesn’t matches with the predecessors Redmi 7A and even Redmi 6A.
According to the TENAA listing and real-life images, the upcoming Redmi 8A will have 6.26-inch HD+ 2.5D curved glass waterdrop notch display with a resolution of 1520 × 720 pixels. Under the hood, it will pack a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 SoC. The handset will have three options: 2GB RAM + 16GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The phone will also have a microSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 512GB.
For optics, there will be a dual rear camera that comprises of as a 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with LED Flash. Upfront, the waterdrop notch will house an 8-megapixel selfie camera. On the rear, there will be a fingerprint sensor as you can see in the image. It will boot the Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 and will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. Connectivity options will include Dual SIM, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS and a micro-USB port. The phone will measure 156.3×75.4×9.4mm and weighs 190 grams.
However, at this point, all these are mere speculations and we would suggest to take them with a grain of salt.
