Redmi 8A Dual launched with Snapdragon 439 SoC, 5000mAh Battery, price starts at Rs 6,499: Specs, price and availability

In addition to launching the Redmi power bank, the company also announced the Redmi 8A Dual entry-level smartphone. The Redmi 8A Dual is part of the company’s budget A-series and the successor to last year’s Redmi 8A

The Redmi 8A Dual has been priced starting at Rs 6,499 for the base model and it will be offered in Sea Blue, Sky White, and Midnight Gray colors. The first sale of the Redmi 8A Dual will be on February 18 on Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. The company says the Redmi 8A Dual will also be available via offline stores soon.

Redmi 8A Dual Specifications

The Redmi 8A Dual has arrived with the display of a 6.22-inch HD+ display with waterdrop notch with a 1520×720 pixels resolutions. The display of the device will be protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and splash-resistant coating. The phone sports the company’s new Aura XGrip design.

Talking about the camera of the device, it has a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has 8-megapixel of Selfie Shooter which also helps in Face Unlock. 

The Redmi 8A Dual is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC that is clocked up to 2GHz. It comes with two variants 2GB RAM/32GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage. The memory is expandable via a dedicated MicroSD card up to 512GB. 

Redmi 8A Dual runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11 and it packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through USB Type-C. On the connectivity front, this dual-SIM smartphone support VoLTE on both SIM cards as well as VoWiFi.

Redmi 8A Dual Price and Availability

The Redmi 8A Dual is priced at Rs 6,499 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage model and Rs 6,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB inbuilt storage model. The phone is available in Sea Blue, Sky White, and Midnight Gray colors. 

The Redmi 8A Dual will go on sale on February 18 on Amazon.in and Mi.com. The first sale will commence from 12 pm. The device will be soon available through Mi India offline stores across the country.
