Xiaomi is all set to launch its upcoming series smartphone – Redmi 6 – on 12th of June. The Chinese mobile maker has released an official poster on a Chinese microblogging site, which has already launch date of the Redmi 6 smartphone. While models of the Redmi 6 were spotted on a Chinese portal site earlier, another model that could be a ‘Plus’ or ‘Pro’ model had also surfaced on the ecommerce websites. Notably, the company has not revealed exactly how many variants of the Redmi 6 will be revealed in the market.
On Tuesday, Xiaomi had informed about an upcoming announcement via a news portal according to the source. On last Wednesday, now the company has officially released the poster on the same site, which confirms that it is indeed the Redmi 6 that will be launched on June 12. While the previous models had arrived in India, but there is no information on whether Xiaomi will ship the new smartphone in the country.
As per the specifications according to the source, the Redmi 6 could come with a display of 5.45-inch (720×1440 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio and runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. It is seen to be powered and supported by an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, possibly the Snapdragon 625. The handset might be packed up with a battery of 3000mAh which is non removable one.
Next Tuesday we will get to know if Xiaomi is really going to release new devices. The day will be packed with new phones, since vivo is also having an event in Shanghai where the NEX series is expected to arrive.
