Realme X50 5G could launch on January 5: All you need to know

Last week, Xiaomi officially unveiled its affordable 5G smartphone Redmi K30 in China. Now, another Chinese brand Realme has revealed some details about its upcoming 5G phone. The upcoming Realme smartphone, Realme X50 might launch on January 5, according to a new teaser. Realme CMO Xu Qi Chase has taken to Weibo to hint at the launch date of Realme X50 in China. The device will be debuting as the first Realme smartphone to support 5G connectivity.

Xu Qi Chase shared a new teaser yesterday with caption “Realme X50 is only _ _ days away”. A closer look between the two treadmill reveals the number 20 which suggests that the launch date of the Realme X50 could be 20 days away. Thus, we can expect the Realme X50 to go official on January 5. The poster on Weibo just hints at the launch date, it does not reveal any specification of the upcoming smartphone.

According to rumors and speculations on the Internet, the Realme X50 5G will have a quad-camera setup on the rear. A recent render also revealed the in-display fingerprint scanner and a dual punch-hole cutout for two selfie cameras on the phone.

Further, the device is also confirmed to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset. Other expected features on the smartphone include a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 6GB/8GB RAM along with 128GB/256GB of internal storage.

The phone will feature a quad-camera setup on its rear, and it will come equipped with a 60-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, 2-megapixel third sensor, and another 2-megapixel shooter. Upfront, there will be a 32-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel Samsung CD1 sensor. The phone is said to be loaded with 4500mAh battery and it will come loaded with VOOC 4.0 fast charging support.
