Realme X India Launch Confirmed for July 15

Realme has announced the launch date of its new smartphone, the Realme X. On Twitter, Realme’s CEO Madhav Seth confirmed the India launch date of the Realme X with the pop-up selfie camera, that is July 15. It will be interesting to see if Realme launches only the Realme X at the event or Realme X Lite, Realme X Spider-Man: Far From Home Special Edition smartphones as well in India. The Realme X is likely to be priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000.

The upcoming Realme X will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, Poco F1, Samsung Galaxy A and M series smartphones in India. Though it remains to be seen how consumers react to the Realme X when it hits the Indian market on July 15.

Realme X Specifications

As of specifications, Realme X sports a 6.53-inch AMOLED display featuring 1080 x 2340 pixels Full HD+ resolution, an optical In-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the top. Under the hood, the device gets fuel from Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC.

For photography, the Realme X sports a dual camera set up on the back consisting of a 48-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras with the primary Sony IMX586 sensor clubbed with an f/1.7 aperture lens. For selfies, there is a 16-megapixel pop-up camera paired with an f/2.0 aperture. The handset is backed by 3765mAh battery that supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging and it runs on custom ColorOS 6.0 skin which is based on the Android 9 Pie Operating system.

Realme X Price in India

The pricing of the Realme X smartphone for the Indian market has not been confirmed. The smartphone is available in China with three RAM and storage variants: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage priced at priced at Yuan 1,499 (approx. Rs 15,000), Yuan 1,599 (approx Rs 16,000), Yuan 1,799 (approx. Rs 18,000) respectively.
