The Realme Watch 2 was released in Malaysia on Friday. This is the successor to Realme Watch, which was launched in India in May. Like the first-generation smartwatch, the Realme Watch 2 has a squarish dial. According to Realme, the wearable offers batteries that last for 12 days and has over 90 sports modes. It also comes with sensors to track heart rate and check SpO2 levels.

According to the special Realme Malaysia webpage, the Realme Watch 2 will cost MYR 229 (approx. Rs. 4,100). It comes in a Black color option. No information is available regarding the launch of this product in other markets as of now.

Realme Watch 2 sports a square dial, with a 1.4-inch display with 320×320 pixel resolution. It has customizable watch faces and live watch faces. An OTA update is needed for the customizable watch faces, which should be released in the future. With over 90 Sports Modes, the wearable features basketball, boxing, dancing, hiking, indoor cycling, outdoor running, table tennis, and yoga, among others.
With a 315mAh battery, the Realme Watch 2 is said to offer up to 12 days of continuous use on a single charge. The smartwatch comes with a magnetic charger. It can be used to control IoT devices such as smart lights, ACs as well as devices like Bluetooth speakers, Realme Buds Air, and Realme buds Q series. This smartwatch comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, however, the company mentions that it cannot be used while swimming and taking a shower.
The smartwatch is said to have an upgraded, professional-level PPG sensor for a continuous heart monitor. Realme says this smartwatch can alert the wearer if their heart rate goes too high. Additional features include SpO2 monitoring as well as Sleep Monitor. The Realme Watch 2 also comes with features like Hydration Reminder, Sedentary Reminder, Camera Control, and Mediation Assistant. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5, and the watch is compatible with Android (Android 5.0 and above) as well as iOS (iOS 11 and above).
