Realme GT 5G launch is scheduled in China for March 4th and the brand is expected to announce its new Internet of Things (IoT) devices at the event. Now, a Realme GT 5G device with model number RMX2202 has been spotted on Geekbench ahead of launch. The phone with the same model number has previously appeared on a certification site as Realme Race (codename for the Realme GT 5G). The Geekbench listing reveals key Realme GT 5G key specifications, including the chipset, RAM, and software details.
According to the listing, the Realme GT 5G will be powered by the octa-core SoC with a base clock speed of 1.8GHz with 12GB RAM. The handset scored 1,138 points on a single core and 3,572 points on the multi-core performance. The motherboard has the “lahaina” codename, which is associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which suggests it will be the Realme GT 5G that will launch with the flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC. The device will run on Android 11 OS out of the box.
Last week, the same Realme phone with model number RMX2202 appeared on the AnTuTu and revealed the handset will pack 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and Snapdragon 888 SoC. The AnTuTu listing also revealed that the phone will have a 120Hz refresh rate display.
On Chinese microblogging site Weibo, Former Oppo Vice President Brian Shen has shared the retail box image of the Realme GT 5G and the box appears to be of the “Bumblebee” leather model of the Realme GT 5G that could be called the Realme GT Ares Special Edition-Dawn, which was recently teased by brand. He also posted another image showing the back of the leather variant.
In addition to the Realme GT 5G regular model with a glass back, it is also said in a distinct variant with a leather back and a black-color stripe. Unfortunately, that’s everything we so far know about the Realme GT 5G but we won’t have to wait long before the Chinese brand reveals the official specs and price of the phone.
