| By DWR Editor

Realme has already announced its GT 2 series in the market, but now Realme’s President has confirmed the launch of the Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition in July. Ahead of the launch, the device appeared on GeekBench, revealing a few of its specifications.

The brand’s President of Global Marketing, Xu Qi, replied to a user’s question by saying that Realme is set to launch a new smartphone in July 2022, which they will be promoting using curated links and more. According to the recent appearance on GeekBench, this may be the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition.

The device was spotted on the benchmarking site with the model number RMX3551. If it launches, it would be the third phone in the Realme GT 2 series.

According to GeekBench, the smartphone achieved 1296 points on single-core tests and 4211 on multi-core tests. As indicated by the benchmark, the device runs Android 12 OS out of the box. The listing also confirms 12GB of RAM, though it is likely that the company will offer other storage options during the launch.

The motherboard section mentions the codename “taro,” possibly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC announced recently by Qualcomm. According to previous reports, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition features a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and has a large 5,000mAh battery that supports up to 100W fast charging as well.
