Realme Vice President and President of Realme International Business Group, Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the Realme 9 and Realme 9 Pro are set to be launched soon in India. According to the executive, these 5G devices will be priced above Rs. 15,000. Yesterday, the brand unveiled the Realme 9i smartphone in India.
Sheth posted a poll on Twitter asking his followers to guess which smartphone Realme will bring to India next. The poll includes Realme 9 and Realme 9 Pro smartphones. In another tweet, the executive confirmed that Oppo’s sub-brand will introduce both of these smartphones in India soon.
In an interview with 91Mobiles, Sheth confirmed the Realme 9 series, which consists of the Realme 9 and Realme 9 Pro smartphones, will cost more than Rs. 15,000. According to the executive, the 5G-enabled phones will offer “leap-forward performance and trendsetting design at a reasonable price”.
Both the Realme 9 and the Realme 9 Pro have appeared on multiple certification sites. A vanilla Realme 9 Pro has recently been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website with model number RMX3491.
Likewise, the Realme 9 Pro has been certified by BIS, Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), and Indonesian Tingkat Komponen Dalam Negeri (TKDN).
There is little information available on the Realme 9 series smartphones, but tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer recently leaked the alleged key specifications of the upcoming Realme 9 Pro. According to reports, the smartphone will feature a 6.59-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. This phone is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, coupled with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
The Realme 9 Pro is said to come with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor. There may be a 16MP selfie camera on the phone. It might be powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
