Realme 8 series launch in India is tipped for March 24. The company will launch its upcoming mid-range smartphone series with a 108MP camera on March 24th, as opposed to March 25th as rumoured earlier, according to the latest report. Oppo’s spin-off brand Realme is tipped to launch the Realme 8 series with Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro smartphones. Citing tipster Gadgetsdata (Debayan Roy), claims that the company will debut the Realme 7 series successor on March 24 in India. Additionally, he claims that both Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro devices will have an AMOLED display.

In a separate post, Realme India head Madhav Sheth has teased the illuminating colour option of the upcoming smartphones ahead of the official launch. The image shared by Seth reveals the phone’s rear-panel in Black colour. It also shows the rear-camera module of the phone and ‘Dare to Leap’ branding in glowing-green colour. Also, ‘108MP quad-camera can be seen written on the rear camera module which suggests we might be looking at Realme 8 Pro. This could be a special limited edition model that will be joining the regular colour options.

Realme 8 series specifications
Realme will launch the Realme 8 Pro alongside the Realme 8. Previously, it was reported that both the phones will feature an AMOLED display that supports a high-refresh-rate.
As per the leaks, the vanilla Realme 8 will draw power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC while the Realme 8 Pro 4G variant is expected to pack a Snapdragon 732G SoC. The 5G variant of the Realme 8 Pro, on the other, may house a Snapdragon 750G SoC or a MediaTek chipset. Realme 8 is said to launch with 4GB/ 8GB RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage. The Realme 8 Pro will pack 6GB/ 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.
At the back, the Realme 8 phone will house a 64MP or 48MP primary camera sensor whereas the Realme 8 Pro is confirmed to pack a 108MP main sensor. The report further reveals that there will be a 4,500mAh cell on Realme 8 Pro, while the Realme 8 may have a 5,000mAh battery.
