Realme, a sub-brand of Oppo, has launched a new variant of its Realme 8 5G in India. The smartphone was first launched in India last month. While it was previously launched in two RAM/storage options, the smartphone has now received another model in the country. The new variant of the Realme 8 5G packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage.
The new variant of the Realme 8 5G is priced at Rs 13,999 and it will go on sale in India on May 18 at 12PM. 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants of the Realme 8 5G are currently available in the country for Rs 14,999 and Rs 16,999 respectively. Supersonic Blue and Supersonic Black are two color variants of the smartphone.
Realme 8 5G Specifications
The smartphone features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, maximum 600 nits brightness, and Dragontrail glass for protection.
It packs 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC that is made on a 7nm fabrication process. The processor is coupled with 4GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage. The storage is further expandable up to 1TB. Interestingly, the Realme 8 5G supports Dynamic RAM Expansion, which can extend the RAM by using internal storage.
The device has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a 2MP depth camera. Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie camera.
The smartphone runs the Android 11 operating system with Realme UI 2.0 skin. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. There are two SIM card slots on the device and both are able to work simultaneously with the SA/NSA network. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
