After the launch of Realme X2 Pro in China, the company is all set to launch the same phone in India along with another budget phone Realme 5s. This phone is positioned just above the Realme 5 and is expected to be priced below Rs. 10,000 mark at launch. The company has already published a landing page for the Realme 5s on Flipkart, where they have hinted at some of the specifications of this upcoming affordable phone. The teaser page makes it evident that the Realme 5s is primarily targeted at people on the lookout for an affordable smartphone with amazing camera.
The teaser page of the Realme 5s on Flipkart shows the phone with the diamond cut design we’ve seen on previous Realme phones against a cherry red background. The “Flipkart Unique” branding indicates that the Realme 5s will be exclusive to Flipkart.
The Realme 5s will be a budget smartphone similar to previous Realme 3i, Realme C2 and Realme 5 phones. The Flipkart micro site does not reveal the price of Realme 5s but it does mention that the smartphone will come with 48-megapixel primary camera on the rear. It will feature a quad camera setup on the rear with an LED flash and fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, in a tweet, the company’s CEO Madhav Seth revealed that the Realme 5s will pack a massive 5000mAh battery under the hood.
Recently, a Realme phone bearing the model number RMX1925 has already received the mandatory BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification in India and the NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) certification in Thailand.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the upcoming RealMe 5s is expected to feature similar specs we seen on the recently launched Realme 5. To recall, the Realme 5 featured a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, quad rear cameras, 13MP selfie camera, 5000mAh battery, etc.
