Realme has launched the Realme 5i in India. It is the first smartphone to be launched in India this year from the Oppo’s spin-off brand and is equipped with notable features for a lucrative price. With the launch of the new Realme 5i, the company has discontinued the Realme 5 that was launched with Realme 5 Pro.
Realme 5i Specifications
The Realme 5i arrives with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. Being a Gorilla Glass 3 protected screen the phone offers enhanced scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility and better-retained strength once a scratch does occur.
Under the hood, Realme 5i is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 of native storage. For photography, the device has a quad-camera setup that is aligned vertically. It features a 12-megapixel with Sony IMX386 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, LED flash, EIS, an 8-megapixel 118° ultra-wide-angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2-megapixel depth sensor and 2-megapixel camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture, while the front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies.
On the software front, the new device runs Android 9.0 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1 and it packs 5000mAh battery with 10W charger bundled. Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack. The Realme 5i measures 165.4 x 75.6 x 9.3 mm and it weighs 198 grams.
Realme 5i Price, Availability
The Realme 5i arrives in a single variant which is priced at Rs. 8,999 and is available in two different variants, which include Blue and Green. It is available on Flipkart and the official site of Realme.
Madhav Sheth, the CEO of Realme India also teased the upcoming Realme’s first fitness band at the end of the Realme 5i’ launch event. However, the features and price are yet to be revealed by the company.
