Oppo’s sub-brand Realme is all set to launch the Realme 5 series, and the announcement will take place on August 20 in India. The company has posted the teaser on its social media accounts and the teaser on the Flipkart confirming the name of the series while also teasing quad camera setup. The Realme 5-series will likely see the launch of the Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro that will succeed the Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro that were launched earlier this year.
To talk about the highlighting features, the Realme 5 series smartphones will come equipped with a quad-camera setup at the back. At the event, Realme did show a smartphone with 64-megapixel primary camera, in a quad setup. It is worth mentioning that the upcoming Realme 5-series will not feature much-awaited a 64-megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the camera resolution, but Flipkart teaser does mention a few key details. The primary sensor will come with a wide aperture to enable better low-light photography. The secondary sensor will come with an ultra-wide lens; the third sensor will be a super macro lens, whereas the fourth will be a depth sensor for portrait mode.

Similar to the Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro smartphones, the upcoming Realme 5-series phones will also sport dewdrop notch. As stated above, the series is rumored to include two models with the Realme 5 Pro being the most-premium, and Realme 5 the most affordable. Furthermore, the Pro variant is likely to feature an AMOLED screen like the recently launched flagship Realme X. Both the new phones will reportedly employ the latest Qualcomm processor.
Other details are not known, but we are just a few days away from the official launch event, wherein we would get more details about the Realme 5 series.
