After several leaks and rumors, Oppo’s spin-off Realme teased that it would launch its Realme 5 series mid-range phones on August 20 in India. Now, we bring you the pricing details of the Realme 5 smartphone.
According to a report by 91Mobiles, the base variant of the Realme 5 will be priced competitively and start from Rs 8,999. There’s no news about the other variants, but we can expect it to make an appearance at the launch.
The upcoming Realme 5 series phones will feature a quad-camera setup on the rear. In a recent event, Realme revealed a smartphone with 64-megapixel primary camera, in a quad setup. It is worth mentioning that the upcoming Realme 5-series will not feature a 64-megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, there are no details regarding the camera resolution, but, according to Flipkart landing page, the primary sensor will come with a wide aperture to enable better low-light photography. The secondary sensor will come with an ultra-wide lens, the third sensor will be a super macro lens, whereas the fourth will be a depth sensor for portrait mode.

The upcoming Realme 5-series phones will also sport dewdrop notch. Under the hood, the Realme 5 is expected to be fuelled by the Snapdragon 600-series chipset. The Pro variant, the Realme 5 Pro will come with an AMOLED screen like the recently launched flagship Realme X. As per the reports, the primary camera on the Realme 5 Pro will be a Sony IMX586 sensor of 48-megapixel resolution. It is also said to be fuelled by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, an octa-core CPU featuring eight Kryo 360 cores running at 2.30GHz.
