POCO X3 Pro receives BIS certification, launch expected soon

POCO X3 Pro is expected to launch soon in the country as the phone with the M2102J20SI model number has been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The Poco X3 Pro was a part of the rumor mill for some time and the device has already bagged IMDA, EEC, FCC, and TUV certifications. The BIS certification of the phone suggests the POCO X3 Pro India launch is around the corner.

Separately, the POCO phone has also received SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) certification in Malaysia. The listing reveals it will have dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity. While the BIS certification or the brand has not disclosed any specs of the phone, a recent report from XDADevelopers had revealed the POCO X3 Pro will have a code-name “Vayu” and “Bhima”, which could be different variants of the same phone.

The device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 (SM8150) SoC under the hood. For photos and videos, the phone is said to feature a 48MP quad-camera setup. It is expected to come with a high-refresh-rate screen and a big battery with fast-charging support. 

Poco X3 Specifications

Poco X3 launched with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen features a hole-punch cut out that houses a 20MP primary sensor. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G chipset is under the hood along with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.

For photography, there is a rear quad camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor (f/1.89) paired with a 13MP 119° ultra-wide sensor with 1.12μm, f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, and 2-megapixel 4cm macro sensor with 1.75μm, f/2.4 aperture.

It features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles up as a power button. It has an infrared sensor as well. The device is also IP53 certified for splash resistance. It is backed by a 6000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging via USB-C. On the software front, it boots Android 10-based MIUI 12 skin

The device has 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
