POCO is set to launch another M-series smartphone in India. POCO M3 Pro is scheduled to launch in India on June 8. In India, it’s the first 5G smartphone from Xiaomi‘s sub-brand. It was launched in Europe earlier this year. Essentially, it is a Redmi Note 10 5G rebranded with a new body. A few days before the device’s launch, its pricing has been leaked online.
A leak indicates that the POCO M3 Pro 5G price for the 6GB + 128GB variant is Rs 17,999. Typically, box prices are higher and companies release smartphones at lower prices. There is a possibility that POCO will launch a 64GB storage variant as well.
Initially, the device was launched in Europe for EUR 179 (approximately Rs 16,000) for its 4GB/64GB variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model, on the other hand, is priced at EUR 199 (approx. Rs 17,800). For the base model of the phone, we can expect a price of around Rs 15,000 in India. In fact, we will find out the exact price of the POCO M3 Pro in India at the launch event on June 8. The leaked pricing should be taken with a grain of salt.
POCO M3 Pro 5G specifications
Poco M3 Pro 5G sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ LCD panel that offers a screen resolution of 1080×2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate panel, 500 nits peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It comes with a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood that is coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and with up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
In terms of optics, there is a triple camera setup on the rear with a combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, LED Flash, 2-megapixel depth, and 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
It runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.0.5 running on top. Backed by a 5,000mAh battery, it supports 18W fast charging. It has a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
It supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, IR blaster, NFC, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device is 8.92mm thin and weighs 190 grams.
