POCO M3 Pro 5G confirmed to pack with 90Hz display, MediaTek Dimensity 700

POCO all set to launch POCO M3 Pro 5G smartphone in a global launch event on May 19. POCO will live stream the event through its Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube channels starting at 20:00 GMT+8. Prior to launch, the company has revealed the display and chipset specifications of the POCO M3 Pro 5G.

Poco’s official poster reveals the device will have a 6.5-inch Full HD + screen with a 90Hz refresh rate support. The DynamicSwitch feature will allow the device to automatically adjust the refresh rate depending on the content. The phone also features a centrally aligned punch-hole. 

Under the hood, it will be powered by the 7nm Dimensity 700 chipset. With this chipset, it could be one of the cheapest 5G phones on the market. Furthermore, the device is the first in the M-series smartphone line to feature support for 5G connectivity.

According to leaked renders, the smartphone will feature a two-tone design on the back. The black-colored vertical camera portion has the POCO branding, and an LED flash assisted 48-megapixel triple camera system. It will be available for buyers in black, yellow, and blue colors.

Poco M3 Pro 5G is believed to be a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G. To recall, Redmi Note 10 5G launched with 6.5-inch IPS LCD FHD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, Dimensity 700 chipset, 4 GB/6GB of RAM, 64 GB/128 GB of storage, a triple camera setup on the rear with 48-megapixel+2-megapixel+2-megapixel cameras, 8-megapixel selfie shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
