Google unveiled the Pixel 6a in India at the Google IO 2022. A new Pixel device has been launched in India after about two years. It is up for pre-orders in select markets, including the US, UK, and more countries.
As a successor to last year’s Pixel 5a, the new Google Pixel 6a’s main attraction is its Tensor processor, developed by Google. The phone competes with the newly launched Nothing Phone (1), OnePlus 10R, and the Realme GT series.
Google Pixel 6a Price in India, Availability, Launch Offers
The Google Pixel 6a is available in India with a single RAM and storage configuration of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Priced at Rs 43,999 in India, it comes in Charcoal(Black) and Chalk(White) colours.
At the moment, Google isn’t offering a Sage(Green) colour variant in India. From July 28th, the phone will be available on Flipkart.
Buyers can get a Rs 4,000 instant discount with Axis Bank Cards and EMI transactions (limited period offer). There is also Rs 6,000 off on the exchange of any Pixel devices and a Rs 2,000 additional exchange bonus on select smartphone models.
Google Pixel 6a Specifications
Google Pixel 6a smartphone has a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
In terms of its hardware, the Pixel 6a is powered by the same Tensor processor that powers the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. Along with this, there is a Titan M2 security co-processor. It features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
There are two cameras on the back of the phone. The phone has a 12.2MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera. Moreover, it comes with OIS and EIS support. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera.
It also boasts a 4,410mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. However, the box won’t include a charging adapter. As for the software, the Pixel 6a runs on Android 12 and will get three major Android updates and five years of security updates.
In addition, it offers 4K 60fps video recording support, an under-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), 6E with MIMO, Bluetooth v5.2, and NFC. The handset is 8.9mm thick and weighs 178 grams.
