OPPO Reno5 A spotted on Google Play supported devices list

| By DWR Editor

OPPO Reno5 A is set to make a debut soon as the smartphone has been spotted on the Google Play supported devices list. Oppo is yet to confirm the Reno5 A launch.

The Google Play Console has listed down the device with the model numbers A101OP and CPH2199. The Google Play supported devices listing of the OPPO Reno5 A does not give us many details of the smartphone. However, the S-Max Japanese publication reported that Oppo is planning to unveil the Reno5 A in Japan. It is possible that the A101OP model will be distributed by SoftBank, whereas the CPH2199 model will be a SIM-free edition.

According to sources, the Reno5 A will be a successor to the last year’s OPPO Reno3 A smartphone. Leaked renders of the phone show that it features a punch-hole display and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. On the back, the device features four cameras with a 64-megapixel primary camera. The smartphone will come in black and white color options.

In March, the A101OP model (via) was certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). According to the listing, it measures 162 x 74.4 x 8.2mm and weighs 182 grams. Moreover, the listing mentions that it runs ColorOS 11 and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. Additional specs of this device remain a mystery.

Talking about the Google Play supported devices list, the text “OP4F1BL1” is found to be common for Reno5A and Reno5 5G in the “Device” column. It is therefore likely that both handsets may have some similarities.
