Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ spotted on Geekbench, to come with 8GB of RAM, Snapdragon 865 mobile platform

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo unveiled its Reno 5 series in the home country. The Reno 5 series includes Reno 5 and Reno 5 Pro smartphones. At the launch event, the company said that it will announce the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ on December 24 and it will be available in black and gradient blue colors. Now, details of the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ smartphone have leaked online. Oppo’s upcoming Reno 5 Pro+ has now been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website showing off its raw power.

The listing shows the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ will run on Android 11 OS and will pack 8GB of RAM. However, we can expect the device to launch in more RAM variants as well. Notably, the listing shows the handset will be powered by a 1.80GHz octa-core processor with the codename ‘Kona’, which is associated with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ scored 886 points in the single-core and 3,036 points in the multi-core Geekbench 5 tests, respectively.

A recent rumor claimed that the Oppo Reno5 Pro+ could be equipped with electrochromic technology.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ Specifications (Expected)

The Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ is tipped to sport a 6.55-inch Full HD+ display with a 1080 × 2400 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The handset will pack a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. 

In terms of optics, the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ is said to feature a quad-camera setup with a combination of a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide sensor, a 13MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, it reportedly packs a 32MP sensor inside the punch-hole cutout.

Additionally, the device is expected to have 8GB/12GB of RAM with 128GB/256GB of storage. The phone is said to measure 159.9×2.5×7.99mm and weigh 184 grams.

Apart from this, there’s little we know about the phone. More details about the phone should be known in the coming weeks as the phone gets closer to a launch.
