Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G official India launch on January 18: Here’s what to expect

Chinese smartphone brand Oppo is all set to launch its latest new 5G smartphone in India. The company has started sending out invites for the launch of the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G smartphone. The company will launch the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G smartphone on January 18 at an online event at 12:30 PM. Also, the landing page for the smartphone goes live on the Flipkart website confirming the availability on the e-commerce platform. Here’s a closer look at the specifications, features, and price of the upcoming Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Price in India (Expected)

As for the pricing, Reno 5 Pro 5G is available in China for 3399 yuan (roughly (Rs 38,290) for the base model with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage while the 12GB/256GB model is priced at 3799 yuan (roughly Rs 42,745). The company is expected to set the Reno 5 Pro 5G price in India under Rs 40,000. Reno 5 Pro 5G was launched in three colors –  Glitter Blue, Aurora Blue, Midnight Black.

Oppo Reno 5 5G Specifications

Oppo Reno 5 5G features a 6.55-inch IPS OLED Full HD+ display (1,080×2,400 pixels) that has a punch-hole cutout. The display has an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 120Hz touch sampling rate.

It packs the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. The performance unit is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage which is not expandable. It ships with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 and is powered by a 4,350 mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging technology.

On the optics front, the Oppo Reno 5 5G has a quad-camera setup on the back that includes a 64-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 119-degree FoV and 2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel mono portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, there is a 32-megapixel shooter.

It comes with support for 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging.
