Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G clears BIS certification; Indian launch imminent

Oppo is reportedly gearing up to launch Reno 5 Pro 5G in India. The smartphone was launched in China yesterday. The handset comes loaded with some interesting features including MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, OLED display, Android 11, and more. Now, a new Oppo device has been spotted on the Indian BIS certification website. This suggests that the launch of the Reno 5 Pro 5G is not far away in India. Although the listing didn’t reveal much about the handset, thanks to the China launch, we all know the specifications and features of the smartphone.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ Specifications

The device flaunts a 6.55-inch display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The punch hole cutout on the screen has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

It offers a Snapdragon 865 processor which is coupled with 8GB/12GB of RAM. The phone comes with 128GB/256GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. On the software front, it ships with Android 11-based ColorOS 11.

The rear-mounted camera module has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with 16-megapixel 119° Ultra Wide Lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 13-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 5x hybrid zoom, and a 2-megapixel macro camera f/2.4 aperture. There are three sensors placed in one line and a fourth sensor placed parallel to it. 

The device also has 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS, NFC, dual-SIM, and USB Type-C port.
