Oppo has announced its new flagship smartphone in the market, dubbed as Reno 5 Pro 5G. The smartphone is priced at Rs 35,990 for the single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and is set to be available for purchase in India from 22nd January. It has already been listed on Flipkart in Astral Blue and Starry Black colors.

To start off with, the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. It comes in just a single memory variant that packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The phone sports a 6.55-inch full HD+ curved OLED panel that offers 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 120Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a punch-hole cutout on the display for housing the front camera.
In the camera department, there is a quad-camera setup on the back featuring a 64-megapixel primary lens with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 119-degree FoV, and 2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel mono portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture. On the front side, the device has a 32-megapixel (f/2.4) snapper for taking selfies and video calling.
As for the connectivity options, the device supports 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There’s also an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security. It runs Android Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 skin. In terms of battery capacity, Oppo has added a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
