We have been reporting on Oppo’s next smartphones in the Reno-series for quite some time. Previously, reports hinted that the upcoming OPPO phones would be launched in India on August 28 and on September 10 in China. And, now a video has surfaced showcasing the primary features of the Oppo Reno 2.

Oppo’s official Weibo handle has posted the teaser video of the Oppo Reno 2. The teaser video shows the design of the Oppo Reno 2 and also shows that the smartphone will be available in Ocean Blue and Luminous Black colors in India. In China, it will be available in Deep Sea Glow, Ocean Heart and Misty Powder color options in China. Another teaser hints that alongside the Oppo Reno 2 smartphone, the company will launch the noise-canceling headphones. Oppo also posted official images of the phone.

AnTuTu listing of the Oppo Reno 2, with model number PCKM00. It appears to have an impressive AnTuTu score of 259,109, which may change at launch considering it is of a pre-release unit. The device tested on AnTuTu shows that the handset will come equipped with a full HD+ display that has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. However, the size of the display is not specified. Under the hood, it is spotted running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G SoC. On the software front, it will run on Android 9 Pie OS. This SoC will be coupled with an Adreno 618 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB inbuilt storage.

In a separate post, purported pictures of the Oppo Reno 2 have been leaked online. The pictures show the back of the phone which has a glassy back panel. This looks to be a quad-camera setup at the back, all placed vertically adjacent to each other along with with the dual-tone LED flash. In another tweet tipster MadSimar, also revealed the renders of the smartphone revealing the three colors.

Last week, the company confirmed that the upcoming Oppo Reno2 will come with a 6.55-inch full-screen borderless AMOLED Panoramic screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 93.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display will have a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and will have an in-display fingerprint unlock 3.0 which will have the latest G3 optical sensor fingerprint unlocking technology. The handset will also pack a 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 through USB Type-C. The rear panel of the phone also has a 3D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
