Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has already announced that it will unveil new Reno2 Series on August 28. One of the expected phones is the Oppo Reno2 that is confirmed to feature a quad-camera setup on the back. Now, ahead of the official launch on August 28, a few details about the Oppo Reno 2’s quad rear camera resolution have surfaced online.
According to a post by Fengchao Technology on Weibo, Oppo Reno 2 will feature a 48-megapixel primary camera with a 13-megapixel telephoto lens. Recent media invite also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will have a 20X zoom. It has also been revealed through media invite that Reno 2 series is coming first to India.
Furthermore, the leak also revealed that the handset would come equipped with an 8-megapixel super-wide-angle lens for capturing a wider panorama and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. However, the promos don’t give out any details of the actual sensor sizes and their apertures themselves. For selfies, the phone will feature a Shark Fin rising camera similar to that on the first generation of Reno smartphones.
Talking about the design, a leaked poster of the Oppo Reno 2 reveals smartphone’s full-screen display with minimal bezels and a thin chin. On the rear, it will feature a quad-camera setup with sensor aligned vertically in the top-centre position.
In a separate post, 3C certification of the same phone revealed that the Oppo Reno 2 would have a VOOC 3.0 support for 20W fast charging and it will support 5G connectivity as well.
