| By Shandilya

Oppo and Vivo companies are the world first smartphones to come up with innovative pop-out camera technology that is introduced in mid-summer of 2018. First, the vivo NEX arrived with a pop-up selfie shooter then Oppo Find x was in line. These two brands just put a benchmark with their innovative first sliding cameras and now a new report claims that both companies are expected to announce new smartphones by the end of the first quarter this year.

According to a Chinese tipster who revealed a piece of information that both companies are busy in working their next flagship equipped the periscope selfie camera design that allows these companies to provide more screen space on their upcoming smartphones.

The information is gathered based on the factory parts and moulds are being prepared for the new designs. According to the leakster, the upcoming smartphone from Oppo could be the successor of R17, OPPO R19 and R19 Pro likely will be featuring a pop-up camera housed at the centre on the top-edge. It is speculated that rear camera setup is at the centre on the back panel. The placement of the rear camera setup matches the case image of R19 that surfaced online in the previous month.

Further, He added that the next generation Vivo X phone which could be the Vivo X25 smartphone will be featuring a pop-up camera system at the top-right corner. Its rear camera will be also placed on the back panel.

The moulds also indicate that companies are not planning to implement a rear fingerprint scanner on the back, but both the Oppo R19 and vivo X25 will have sensors under their OLED screens. The implementation of pop-up camera mechanism on the OPPO Find X and Vivo X25 is barely to ditch the notched design and to provide users with nearly 95-percent screen-to-body ratio. Rumours have it that the R19 could be fueled by Helio P80 SoC. These phones may go official by the end of the first quarter of the year.
