OPPO R17 specs reveal 6.4″ notched display and in-display fingerprint scanner

Oppo, a Chinese mobile maker is aforesaid about its new smartphone Oppo R17. This handset is spotted in TENNA on the previous week and now the company made the smartphone official by listing on its website.

According to the listing, The new smartphone confirms that it comes with a 6.4-inch display with a water drop like display notch and sports a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on the top and an in display fingerprint sensor. This is the first smartphone in the world to come with Gorilla Glass 6.The smartphone sports a dual rear camera which supports Artificial intelligence. The smartphone is available for pre-order and will go on sale starting August 18 in China. The smartphone price is likely revealed before its sale starts.

According to the official listing, the new smartphone features a 6.4-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2280 pixel resolution and 91.5% aspect ratio.

Under the hood, The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. The phone packs a 128GB internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card.

For snappers, The smartphone equipped with a dual rear camera setup. It comes with a 16MP primary and 5MP secondary shooter with LED flash. The front of the device is home to a 25MP selfie shooter with Sony IMX576 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Oppo claims that front camera supports AI powered portrait mode. There are also various preset scenes to capture enhanced shots.
The smartphone packs a 3,500mAh battery that is powered by Oppo’s proprietary VOOC technology that is touted to deliver two hours of talk time with five minutes of charge. The phone also sports a fingerprint sensor.

In terms of connectivity,  the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C.
