Oppo K9 Pro, Oppo Watch Free launched in China

In a recent event, Oppo unveiled the Oppo Watch Free and the Oppo K9 Pro in China. In addition to a 120Hz AMOLED display, the Oppo K9 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. Besides the AMOLED display, Oppo Watch Free also has more than 100 sports modes.

Oppo Watch Free, Oppo K9 Pro Pricing, Availability

The standard version of Oppo Watch Free costs 549 Yuan (approximately Rs 6,200) and a NFC version costs 599 Yuan (approximately Rs 6,800). There are two colors available: Quicksand Gold and Silent Night Black.

For the 8GB +128GB version of the Oppo K9 Pro, it costs 2199 Yuan (approx Rs 25,000). There is a 12GB +256GB variant priced at 2699 Yuan (approx Rs 30700). It is unclear when this smartphone and watch will be launched in India.

Oppo K9 Pro Specifications

The Oppo K9 Pro 5G comes with a 6.43-inch full HD+ AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 X 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate with HDR 10 & DCI-P3 Wide Colour Gamut support.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC. The phone is also equipped with 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

A 4,500mAh battery is included with the phone along with fast charging support of 60W. Furthermore, ColorOS 11 is preinstalled on top of the Android 11 operating system.

It features a triple camera setup at the back. In addition to the 64-megapixel f/1.7 primary sensor, there’s an 8-megapixel f/2.2 wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro sensor. It has a 16-megapixel front camera.

The Oppo K9 Pro comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well. In terms of connectivity, there is NFC, dual SIM dual 5G support, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Oppo Watch Free Specifications

Oppo Watch Free has a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with a 280 x 456 pixels resolution, 100% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut support with 326 PPI.

On a single charge, the 230mAh battery provides up to 14 days of usage. A five-minute quick charge will give you enough power for a day. It supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for device pairing and is compatible with Android 6.0+ and iOS 10.0+ handsets via the Health app.

There are more than 100 sport modes on the fitness tracker, including outdoor running, outdoor cycling, outdoor walking, indoor cycling, free training, and more. In addition, it comes with a heart rate sensor and displays five different heart rate zones.

Among its other features are app notifications, alarm, timer, music controls, weather app, and find my phone. For contactless payments, the fitness tracker has NFC. In e-sports, notifications are sent directly to the watch instead of the phone. Currently, it is only compatible with Oppo Reno6 and Find X3 series. The feature will be available on more devices in the future.
