The Oppo F21 Pro series will debut in India on April 12. Prior to launch, full specs of Oppo F21 Pro 4G and Oppo F21 Pro 5G were revealed a few days ago. As the launch of the devices nears, Oppo has revealed some of the features and specifications of its upcoming F21 Pro lineup phones.
Besides the phones, the company is preparing to introduce Oppo Enco Air2 Pro. Oppo Enco Air2 Pro will be the company’s new TWS, expected to launch first in the Indian market.
The Oppo F21 Pro will be equipped with a flagship-grade Sony IMX709 RGBW (red, blue, green, white) selfie camera sensor. This sensor is 60% more sensitive to light and reduces noise by 35% when compared to the last-gen IMX615 RGB sensor. Moreover, in Oppo’s Quadra Binning algorithm, two W pixels are added to each R, G, and B pixel so that the sensor can detect red, green, blue, and white signals. The Oppo Reno 7 series also comes with this sensor.
This process also improves light intake without reducing colour information and improves cross-platform compatibility in addition to image processing efficiency. Oppo designed this Sony IMX709 using the 22nm process for power efficiency. Additionally, the Oppo F21 Pro will come with an advanced AI Portrait enhancement to differentiate between beauty spots and skin blemishes and identify subjects.
Furthermore, the F21 Pro will feature 2MP microlens with support for 15x and 30x magnification that let users explore textures, colours, shapes, and sizes at a microscopic level. There is also an orbit light around the microlens for illumination and for taking clear photos. Based on leaks, these camera specs are exclusive to the Oppo F21 Pro 4G model.
