Oppo has launched the 5G version of its Oppo A72 smartphone in China. Dubbed as Oppo A72 5G, the new phone comes with a Dimensity 720 SoC, 90Hz display. Here’s everything you need to know about the newly launched Oppo A72 5G smartphone.

Oppo A72 5G has been priced at CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs. 20,200) in the Chinese market for the single 8GB RAM and 128GB model. The device will be available in Neon, Oxygen Violet, and Simple Black (translated) colour variants. The phone is already up for pre-order on the official Oppo China website.

Oppo A72 5G comes with a 6.5-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) display. The panel touts 90.5 percent screen to body ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone at its core is the Dimensity 720 SoC that supports 5G. It is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. To recall, the 4G variant was launched with the Snapdragon 665 SoC.
In the optics department, the Oppo A72 5G gets a 16-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel black and white camera on the rear. They are arranged in a square module that also houses the flash. For selfies, you get a 16-megapixel sensor.
The phone flaunts a 4,040mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. On the software front, it runs Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.2 skin. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, etc. The phone is just 7.9mm thick and weighs 175 grams.
