Chinese smartphone brand Oppo doesn’t like to keep its mid-range smartphone users behind when it comes to upgrading. A new leak has popped up online suggesting the Oppo could be working on a successor of Oppo A5 which was launched in July last year.
The leaked specs sheet of the OPPO A5s reveals that it houses a 6.2-inch display that supports a resolution of 720 x 1520 HD+ resolution and aspect ratio of 19:9. This indicates that the smartphone will feature a waterdrop notched display. The handset measures 155.9 x 75.4 x 8.2mm and weighs 170 grams. It will be available in colors like Red, Black, Gold, and Green.
Under the hood, the cited source asserts that the smartphone could house a 2.3GHz MediaTek’s 12nm Helio P35 octa-core processor aided by 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of onboard storage. The storage of the device can be further expandable via microSD card slot.
On the photography front, there could be a dual rear camera setup, including a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there could be an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The leaked spec sheet also hints a massive 4,230mAh battery. The Oppo A5s will come loaded with ColorOS 5.2 based Android 8.1 Oreo. The connectivity features of the smartphone include dual nano-SIM support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ad and GPS.
As of now, there is no confirmation from the company about the existence of Oppo A5s and its launch date, and we will probably have to wait for some more leaks before the picture is complete.
