In November 2021, Oppo released the A55s 5G smartphone in Japan powered by a Snapdragon 480 SoC. The company has now launched a smartphone with the same moniker in China with slightly different specs. Powered by Dimensity 700 SoC, the phone comes loaded with an HD+ display instead of the full-HD+ screen found on the Japanese variant.

Oppo A55s 5G 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,099 (approx Rs 13,100) whereas the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant comes with a price tag of CNY 1,199 Yuan (approx Rs 14,300). You can choose from Brisk Blue, Rhythm Black, and Temperament Gold colour options.

Oppo A55s 5G is equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, and a peak brightness of 480 nits. The smartphone uses a 2.2GHz MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor and supports SA/NSA dual-mode 5G network. It has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
The Oppo A55s 5G has a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The front of the phone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as well.
It runs on Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 as a skin. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at 10W standard charging. Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
