Oppo has officially announced that it will launch the OPPO A74 5G and A54 smartphones in India on April 19th and 20th, respectively. The company already launched both these smartphones in select international markets. The upcoming OPPO A74 5G and A54 devices will succeed Oppo A73 and A53 smartphones.
A landing page for the smartphone has emerged on Amazon India confirming that the Oppo A74 5G will be launched at 12 PM on April 20 and it will go on sale via Amazon India. The e-commerce site also created a landing page for the phone confirming the availability on the platform.
Oppo A54, on the other hand, has been listed on Flipkart that confirms the launch in India on April 19. There is also a dedicated landing page that confirms the phone will be Flipkart exclusive.
As far as the specs are concerned, recently a tipster revealed specifications that suggest the A74 5G specifications in India will differ slightly from the ones announced in Southeast Asian markets. In line with the tip, the Oppo A74 5G will have identical specifications to the Oppo A93 5G version launched earlier this year in China.
Oppo A74 5G Specifications
Oppo A74 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It packs Snapdragon 480 5G SoC based on an 8nm fabrication process, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of storage which is expandable via MicroSD card.
On the rear, you get a quad-camera setup with a combination of a 48MP f/1.7 primary sensor, along with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. There is a 16MP front camera with an FoV of 78-degrees on the front.
Other features include a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, support for 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. It ships with ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.
OPPO A54 specifications
OPPO A54 comes equipped with a 6.51-inch display with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1600 pixels). The panel has a punch-hole cutout, support for 60Hz refresh rate, and an 89.2 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Backed by MediaTek’s Helio P35 SoC, it has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset gets juice from a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. In terms of optics, there is a triple-camera setup with a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP bokeh lens. Upfront, there is a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Running on Android 10-based Color OS 7.2, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner alongside AI Face unlock. It also has an IPX4 waterproof certification for splash resistance.
