As we have reported before about the new Oppo A3s, the company has unveiled its Oppo A3s – the budget smartphone in India, priced at Rs. 10,990. The phone features only the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant. The main highlight of the Oppo A3s includes a dual rear camera setup, a ‘Super Full Screen’ display, a 4230mAh battery, and the octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC. The front camera of 8 megapixels has an Oppo’s AI beauty technology for enhanced selfie experience.
The company claims, Oppo A3s is the first device from Oppo that comes with a 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual rear camera setup along with an 8-megapixel AI enabled front camera in the South Asian market. Oppo says its ‘AI Beauty’ technology employs a cloud database from premium suppliers that have sufficient power to support diversified facial recognition in smart terminals. The company appeals that the technology “is like a thinking photographer rather than a rigid software program.”
“With A3s, we aim to offer consumers, especially youth, who are looking for an advanced camera phone that offers a strong battery life,” said Will Yang, brand director, OPPO India.
Oppo A3s Specifications and Features
The Oppo A3s has a 6.2-inch IPS display with a tall 19:9 aspect ratio and 720 x 1520 pixel resolution. Oppo calls it ‘Super Full Screen’ display and claims 88.8% screen-to-body ratio.
Powering the device is an octa-core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 chipset with an Adreno 506 GPU that is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage. The storage can be expandable up to 256 GB via microSD cards. The Oppo A3s features a 13-megapixels main camera with f/2.2 aperture on the rear, coupled with a secondary 2-megapixels for depth sensing. As we have mentioned earlier, the front camera of 8-megapixels has a f/2.2 aperture and supports AI Beauty effects. The phone is powered by a massive 4,230 mAh battery and runs on the Oppo’s own Color OS 5.1 skin that is based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The general features of the Oppo A3s include Dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack.
Oppo A3s Price in India
The mid-range smartphone Oppo A3s priced Rs 10,990 in India and the Oppo A3s will be available in three color variants, including Dark Purple, and Red color. The device will be made available for the buyers on Amazon.in, Flipkart and PayTM as well as offline stores from July 15.
