OnePlus officially launch the OnePlus 8 alongside the OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite (aka OnePlus Z) on April 14. The OnePlus 8 series has had quite a lot of hype surrounding its launch. Right before the launch, the sleek packaging retail box of the OnePlus 8 Pro leaked.
The leaked pictures show that the OnePlus 8 Pro phone will come with a simple and sleek burnt orange packaging box. On the rear, it has “OnePlus 8 Pro” boldly written in black. We have seen quite a number of leaked photos of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro but the OnePlus 8 Lite (also rumored to launch as OnePlus Z) has been quite rare in leaks.
OnePlus 8 Pro specifications
Going by the previous reports, the forthcoming OnePlus 8 Pro will be fuelled by the Snapdragon 865 SoC. It will flaunt a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ resolution supporting AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. Further, the handset will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and 19.8:9 aspect ratio respectively alongside the and support for Adaptive Display, MEMC, HDR10+, and in-screen fingerprint scanner.
There will be an EIS enabled 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor inside the punch-hole on the front. The front cameras reportedly support 1080 30fps video recording.
The quad-camera setup on the rear of the OnePlus 8 Pro will include a Sony IMX689 48-megapixel primary sensor with OIS and EIS, a 120-degree Sony IMX586 ultrawide lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom, and OIS and a 5-megapixel color filter with PDAF. The setup will be paired with dual-LED flash and Laser AF. It will support 30/60fps 4K video shooting, 48fps, and 240fps slow-motion video recording, 3D Audio Zoom, and flicker sensor.
On the software front, it is tipped to run Android 10 OS skinned with OxygenOS 10. Connectivity features will be 5G, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and USB-C. The IP68 rated OnePlus 8 Pro has 165.3 x 74.4 x 8.5mm dimensions and weighs 199 grams.
Coming to the pricing, the OnePlus 8 Pro 8 GB RAM + 128 GB and 12 GBR AM + 256 GB storage models will be priced at 930 euros and 1,020 euros respectively. The phone is said to launch in three colors: Onyx Black, Glacial Green, and Ultramine Blue.
