OnePlus is reportedly working on a new smartphone, OnePlus 9 Lite with Snapdragon 865 SoC. A smartphone with model numbers LE2100 and LE2101 spotted by a tipster TechDroider and he stated that these are the model numbers of the OnePlus 9 Lite.

While there is no official statement or confirmation from OnePlus on the existence of an OnePlus 9 Lite smartphone, the tipster stated that the phone will be available in two variants and launch in India as well as Chinese markets. The rumor says that the upcoming smartphone will be priced at $600 (roughly Rs 43,800).

A previous report by Android Central also revealed that the OnePlus 9 Lite device will use last year’s Snapdragon 865 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 888, which we are expected to see on the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. Some reports also hinted that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be a slightly refreshed version of the OnePlus 8T. So, it is likely to retain some features of the OnePlus 8T phone including a 120Hz display, the primary and ultra-wide cameras.

Separately, the specifications of the OnePlus 9 have been leaked by the XDA Developers. As per the report, the forthcoming OnePlus 9 will be fuelled by the 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. The smartphone could run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone will likely run OxygenOS straight out of the box and it will be running Android 11 OS.

The device is likely to offer a 6.55-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the OnePlus 9 series could come with a flat display instead of a curved display.

The Chinese tech giant has yet to confirm the launch date officially. The OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and 9 Lite are expected to hit the market as early as March. So stay tuned for more updates.
