OnePlus has finally unveiled its much-awaited OnePlus 8 series in the launch event. The smartphone series comprises OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The two new OnePlus smartphones feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC, a large display, bigger battery. One of the major highlights of the series is that all the two smartphones come with 5G support.
As reported earlier, the brand has unveiled the new OnePlus Wireless Z earbuds alongside the OnePlus 8 series. The neckband is available in Black, Blue, Mint and Oat colors. As per the company, the neckband can give 10 hours of playback with 10 minutes of charge. The OnePlus Wireless Z is priced at $49.92 (approx. Rs 3,795)
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro Pricing
OnePlus 8 Pro is available in two storage variant that offers 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage that is priced at $899 and 12GB RAM + 256GB of internal storage model which is priced at $999.
The OnePlus 8 offers 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage will cost you $699 whereas the 12GB RAM + 256GB internal storage model is priced at $799.
OnePlus 8 specifications
OnePlus 8 features a 6.55-inch Full HD+ display that has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display also has 1100nits brightness, HDR10+ support, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 40 percent Less Blue Light. The smartphone runs on OxygenOS based on Android 10 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. It offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage.
On the camera front, it houses a triple rear camera setup at the back that has 48-megapixel primary lens with a Sony IMX586 sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a macro lens. For selfies, it sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
OnePlus 8 is equipped with a 4300mAh battery with Wrap Charge 30T support. The handset also has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and it comes with Haptic Vibration 2.0.

It sports a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display that comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1200nits brightness, HDR10+ support, JNCD=0.4, 10-bit colors, MEMC and it comes with 40 percent less Blue Light. OnePlus 8 Pro also runs on Oxygen OS based on Android 10 and it is also powered by Snapdragon 865 processor. The smartphone offers up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
The company claims the new Oxygen OS will offer smoother animation, improved Dark Theme, Dynamic Wallpaper, and Live Caption. Users will 100GB of Google One cloud storage free for three months.
In the camera department, you will see a quad-camera setup and the setup includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX689 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, OIS, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera with Sony IMX586 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, a 3x telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture with 30x digital zoom, OIS and a Color Filter Camera. It comes with dynamic video with 3-HDR technology, hybrid image stabilization and three microphones with Audio Zoom. On the front, it houses a 16MP selfie camera.
It houses a 4510mAh battery that supports Wrap Charge 30T. It is the first smartphone from OnePlus to support wireless charging. The OnePlus 8 Pro also has Wrap Charge 30 Wireless charging support.
