OnePlus announced that it will be launching the upcoming flagship series smartphones OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro on May 14. This is the first time the company is bringing two smartphones at a time – this suggests there won’t be OnePlus 7’T’ variant. Among both upcoming smartphones, OnePlus 7 Pro will be the premium smartphone and will become the costliest device form the company.

Display

CEO Pete Lau revealed that upcoming smartphones from the company are coming with an all-new display technology which is almost three times expensive than the existing smartphone displays. This will make OnePlus 7 Pro the best smartphone, not only fast but also much smoother.

Based on the leaks, OnePlus 7 Pro will sport a 6.7-inch QHD + display 1440×3120 pixels resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. This display rate can be considered the best in the industry, most of the gaming smartphones have display refresh rate 90Hz. This will enhance the user experience and give a very smooth feel while scrolling.

Design

OnePlus 7 Pro will come with no bezels and no notch. With a pop-up selfie camera, OnePlus 7 Pro will come with the highest screen-to-body ratio. Leaked renders also suggests that the OnePlus 7 Pro looks somewhat similar to the design of  Samsung Galaxy S10+.

You can also observe the triple camera setup on the back, as we can’t see any fingerprint sensor on the back – it makes clear that OnePlus 7 Pro will also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Processor

OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be powered with a Snapdragon 855 processor and coupled up to 12GB of RAM. The company also claimed that using this new processor, there will be a 30% performance gain compared to the predecessors. Another interesting thing about the OnePlus 7 Pro is, this is the first smartphone to come with faster storage solution UFS 3.0. This latest version of the UFS has a maximum bandwidth of 2,900 MB/s and has two data lanes.

Camera

Many leaks already tipped that OnePlus 7 Pro will come with three cameras on the back and a pop-up camera for selfies. The triple cameras comprise of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP telephoto lens camera, and a 16MP ultra-wide lens camera.

Information about the pop-up camera is not yet available, and this is not the first time for any smartphone to come with a pop-up camera but OnePlus 7 Pro is the first smartphone to come with both triple camera setup and a pop-up camera.

Pricing

If leaks are to be believed, the base variant OnePlus 7 Pro [6GB + 128GB] comes for Rs 49,999, while the OnePlus 7 Pro 8GB RAM + 256G storage variant priced at Rs. 52,999. On the other hand, the top-end variant OnePlus 7 Pro 12GB + 256GB comes for Rs. 57,999. Leaks also suggested that OnePlus 7 Pro will be made available in three color variants Nebula Blue, Mirror Grey, and Almond.

These prices confirm that OnePlus 7 Pro as the most expensive smartphone from the company till now – but cheaper than the flagship smartphones from Apple and Samsung. As we already know that company also announced the pre-bookings of OnePlus 7 Pro via Amazon with some exciting pre-booking offers.
