OnePlus could make an interesting backtrack with the launch of the upcoming flagship OnePlus 7! As per the new case render of upcoming OnePlus 7, the Chinese brand OnePlus will be retaining the almost-extinct 3.5mm headphone port on the OnePlus 7. Yes! You heard it right!
OnePlus 7 New Case Renders Shows 3.5mm Headphone Jack
A leaked third-party case render shows a cut-out for 3.5mm audio jack on its bottom edge. It is quite surprising as the last year’s flagship OnePlus 6T was launched with no-headphone jack. If this case renders are true, OnePlus may just bring back the 3.5mm port with the OnePlus 7 – seen on the bottom next to the Type-C port and speaker grills.
The new render is completely different from what we’ve seen in the previous renders. The new images show the bottom edge features cut-outs for an external speaker, a 3.5mm audio ack and USB-C. There is a large vertical cut-out on the case for the smartphone’s triple camera setup. It could be possible that non-Pro edition of the upcoming OnePlus 7 smartphone may retain the 3.5mm audio jack, whereas it’s Pro edition may lack it.
The new OnePlus 7 is going to differ from its predecessor in several ways. To start with, the new OnePlus will have a popup selfie camera which is trending these days. Several renders and leaks already confirmed that the OnePlus 7 would sport a bezel-less display. The new OnePlus 7 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 processor and will run on Android Pie. The OnePlus 7 is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch display. The seventh-generation OnePlus device will ship with a triple camera setup on the rear, along with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The launch date of OnePlus 7 remains unknown as of now. Reports suggest that OnePlus might be introducing the OnePlus 7 smartphone during around May. Given that the predecessor OnePlus 6 was announced on the May 2018, we can expect the OnePlus 7 to launch in May this year. With the launch inching closer, we don’t have to wait much longer to know more about the OnePlus 7 flagship smartphone.
