| By Shandilya

Oneplus 6T, the next Flagship killer is rounding up with a lot of rumours from a few weeks. Believing the leaks, the Oneplus 6T could launch in India on October 17. Interestingly, the information is posted on weibo which shows images of an official India launch invite. Up to now, what we expected is that upcoming smartphone is globally launch on the second week October, but this is the first indication of an India launch date.

As per images posted in Weibo, one of the images shows the invite with a new tagline “Unlock The Speed” most likely pointing towards the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor. OnePlus 6T Launch Event; October 17 | India’ written. This supposed invite also comes with an image of what appears to be the casing of the OnePlus 6T, with ‘Unlock the Speed’ written over it, Surprisingly the October 17 date coincides with the date mentioned in the screenshot officially shared by OnePlus with CNET. Apart from this, the post doesn’t give any new information about one plus 6T.

Along with the release date image the user posted two more images which include the OnePlus 6T has a triple camera set up at the back, similar to the Oppo R17. However, some leaks have contradicted that  OnePlus 6T will continue with the dual-camera at the back.

Apart from this, there are some new renders about notch design of one plus upcoming device which is likely to feature a ‘waterdrop’ style notch display, which has also been seen on Oppo R17.So with these leaks, it is beating around the bush what report is to be considered as true. Hence it is advisable not to take any piece of information with a pinch of salt. OnePlus might not look to radically change the design considering that this is a mid-year “T” upgrade for its flagship range. Apart from the triple camera setup, a waterdrop-style notch is seen on the front with an in-display fingerprint sensor, as confirmed by OnePlus.

As per the confirmed specifications by one plus, the oneplus 6T will not sport a 3.5mm headphone jack and instead will come bundled with a pair of USB Type-C earphones. Keeping in mind previous trends, the OnePlus 6T will most likely borrow a Snapdragon 845 SoC and RAM quantity of up to 8GB RAM from the OnePlus 6. It is expected to run Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. OnePlus 6T is expected to launch in 6GB RAM/8GB RAM options and could offer up to 256GB of internal memory.

Moving to price, back in August this year a report suggests that the OnePlus 6T would continue the higher price trend and sport a price tag of $550 in the US, the slight uptick from the OnePlus 6’s base price. OnePlus 6T price in India is not known yet, but it will be exclusive to Amazon India as per a teaser on the e-tailer’s website.
