If rumours are believed, Oneplus is all set to unveil its new flagship smartphone, Oneplus 6T on October 17. The new smartphone took an upgrade over its predecessor with its waterdrop style notch, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and it will finally be ditching the 3.5mm legacy headphone jack. OnePlus has already been teasing its upcoming flagship via its social media profiles, At the same time, A new Oneplus 6T teaser has mentioned the presence of in-display fingerprint sensor in the upcoming smartphone.

While the company CEO Pete Lau already confirmed about this feature earlier this month in an interview with CNET, and also explained the engineering behind it on OnePlus Forums. It will simply be called Screen Unlock, and the company claims that it will be faster than other solutions available out there.
As said, The company has released a new teaser video on Twitter that suggests that the OnePlus 6T will sport an in-display fingerprint sensor. The video is about five seconds where in this the bottom portion with the in-display scanner lighting up for a couple of seconds and goes off with a caption that reads,”A key innovation lies just beneath the surface. Prepare for the #OnePlus6T.”
The Company CEO also stressed the fact that the additional space created by removing the headphone jack has been used to accommodate the in-display scanner. He believes with people now opting for Bluetooth headphones, it seems to be the right time to ditch the legacy audio connector and make way for newer technologies.
Alongside, the corporate also increasing the battery capacity to offer better battery life. The new device is also expected to come with a Snapdragon 845 SoC with an octa-core CPU, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. we might not be surprised if Oneplus offering up to 512GB storage too. There are also some rumours regarding the camera setup that the rear end house triple camera where there still leaks hints at dual camera setup.
